I guess you can say I've made it my resolution to post something on here each week...after all, I may have a faithful follower or two. ;)

My husband, Matt, had an emergency appendectomy last week, but you'd never know it to look at him.  The day I picked him up from the hospital, he was at our neighbor's house, trying to work.  He's one hard worker!!

Aleksa, our oldest daughter, who just turned 15, has been asked out on her first official "date".  It's a formal dance at the high school in Newton, where we used to live.  Matt told Aleksa she could go, but either he or I would be driving them, which I think is just silly!!  I know he loves & is very protective of his girls, of which I am one, so on one hand, I can understand his feelings.  However, he's the epitome of Thomas, the "Oh, ye of little faith" guy in the bible.  In my opinion, Matt needs to rest in the reassurance that Aleksa is a child of God, as is he, & the Lord will protect her.  Matt doesn't get that God is Aleksa's father first, even before Matt, & naturally, as her father, the Lord is going to take care of her.  Sometimes it's just tough being a submissive wife!!  But I'm trying, Lord!!!
