Wow!  Just when you think things are starting to go in your favor, something happens to bring you back to reality!  For myself, it happened yesterday when someone from the Wichita Eagle finally responded to my request for them to review my book.  Only it wasn't with a book review, but instead was with a return phone call from the guy in charge of book reviews.  He told me that the Eagle didn't review "inspirational" books, nor did they review "self-published" ones.  I was kind of stunned at his abrupt manner, & wanted to say, "Your loss," but since I actually have the skills one needs to have when dealing with the public, something he was lacking severely, just thanked him for his time.  Oh well, I don't really want to be associated with a newspaper that won't even look at a book, much less review it, because even though it might actually inspire one person, it might offend another.
